My favorite mumblecore movie right now is actually Mumblecore by Megan Boyle and Tao Lin. I think they made something really beautiful together because it was raw and honest. It’s really its own monster.
i’m currently watching mumblecore. i really like it. you guys should check it out. at first it seemed like something i would have to ‘be in the mood’ to watch. i was ‘pleasantly surprised’ when i was able to finish watching this in one sitting (without ever really feeling bored/disinterested). this ‘scene’ is my favorite, they both drop some nice knowledge and share some pretty emotional moments. i thought “this is da troof” after hearing megan say this.
i feel tempted to ‘review’ this, if i feel able enough to sort all of my thoughts.
…please direct your attention to “MDMA,” “Bebe Zeva,” and “Mumblecore.” They’re possibly the three most exciting films I saw this year, except for “The Tree of Life,” of course. Directed by Tao Lin and Megan Boyle, these three films take documentary to a whole new level. Seriously. MDMAFilms for the win.
